Ring in the New Year in 60 SECONDS

It’s a new year and a new opportunity to make new resolutions, set goals, and try to become a new you.
And, if you’re like me, you’re aware how unlikely you’ll actually succeed at keeping those new year’s resolutions.
I stumbled upon a famous literary giant who lived in the 1700s. His name was Samuel Johnson and in his journal on jan 1st 1738 he wrote:
“Oh Lord, enable me to redeem the time which I have spent in sloth.”
(19 years later) “enable me to shake off sloth and redeem the time misspent in idleness.”
(7 years more) “My purpose is from this time to avoid idleness and to rise early.”
And In 1765: “I purpose to rise at 8 because, though, it’s not early it will be much earlier than I now rise for I often lie until 2.
This is kinda funny, but honestly its all too familiar. I have mostly had the darnedest time at self improvement. And I know i’m not Alone.
Here is a refreshing tip.
The bible says, “Behold, I AM making all things new!” (Rev. 21:4
The I AM in this scene is Jesus on his throne at the last chapter of the Bible and he says, Behold. Look. Check this out. I am making all things new.
The point is this: Jesus makes all things new. Not me. Not You. If you want a new you. Jesus makes you new. Not You.
